Yet Chandhok is basically without a ride? It's a shame money makes the world go 'round.

I think of the newbies ,Chandhok was just a sensational surprise considering he was not rated high at all. What a pity HRT has to follow the money...

Trulli for whatever reason is not going anywhere at Lotus..and Glock is doing surprisingly well for the myriad of issues he has experienced this year.

they need money to barely survive...
My idea is you not only need money ,you also need good ideas and ways to implement those ideas and not make them dry out on their way on your car...thats the point...in a normal process of compromise orientated development say 20 % of the idea will be left when it is reaching the car (see Mercedes having their 3 steps forward 2 and a half going back) so your progress will be hampered by your unability to correctly analyse the task before implementing a solution.
The real trick is using an integrating sort of approach and looking for the opportunities in integrating new ideas (adding a aero element that at the same time is a heat shield as a very crude example)..

But thats my half cent ,you might have better ideas..

I think people are too quick to judge the drivers' performance based on those stats. The new teams' cars have been way too unreliable. Just about every time one hears about Lotus, at least one car was running with some hydraulic problem.

which is not really the teams but a xtrac issue..But you are right defintely in the end it is the teams carrying the responsibility for the cars reliability.

I wasn't trying to blame anyone, I was trying to point out that the amount of "points" are mostly based on whether a driver gets lucky, not his driving skills.
