Maybe highlights why Massa sounds like he's already been defeated next year - he's going to play second fiddle again and just potter around collecting his pay cheque. Great shame for him really.

A real sportsman, no doubt about that. Also praised Petrov's drive at Abu Dhabi.

what an guy that Alonso, he really thinks that he is the best because he has defeated Massa, called a teamorder and lost the world title which he would have won easily on a better tactic all by himself, pure skills to screw up an good season all by yourself, I am sure no one can ever match that.

How close did Massa push the highly rated Raikkonen?

Alonso is a class or two above Massa and no one can really argue that.

That was in Raikkonens year where he couldnt handle the car et all. in 2007 massa got shredded apart, in 2006 too, in 2009 too and the years before werent that much different.

Sure he is better, but at least Massa isnt an complete asshole.

What really gave me a few doubts was that Alonso couldnt pass Massa in Hockenheim et all, we all know that Massa cannot defend at all(in 2008 he left the door wide open for Hamilton as an title contender), that just put high doubts at Alonso's real skill. Afterall, he always was the first driver and his results where matched by the rookie Hamilton in 2007.

When did F1 become about being Mr nice guy?

2007 shredded apart? Really? So Alonso must have smashed him this year by all accounts.

We all know Alonso cant handle equal status , otherwise he will crumble like he did in 2007!
So Ferrari planned this early and gave him No:1 status from the beginning and he beat Massa, Well played Ferrari.
But this cocky statement from Alonso is what is not needed, especially when he lost the WDC in such a poor fashion, and also he conveniently forgot that his 1 of the 5 victories is Massa's ..just like the way he said that he deserved the 2008 Singapore victory :?

Thats when they all were given equal status, until 2008 when Stefano wanted Alonso to come to Ferrari and slow down Kimi when he was leading the WDC by 15 points at one point!!

in 2007 Ferrari team had equal status and Kimi beat Massa and got the WDC!!! even with a car which didnt suit him at all.
in 2010 Ferrari team gave Alonso No.1 status & he beat Massa and DIDNOT get the WDC!!even with a car which is tailor made to Alonso's liking.

So i dont think the smashed analogy will apply here 8)

With all due respect in 2007, Raikkonen did not have to deal with a pair of Red Bulls AND Mclarens. So the comparison remains :)

True, but the Mclarens surely were much more RELIABLE and equally FAST than the RBRs in 2010, so that evens it out.

Fernando Alonso on Felipe
"I don't know if he can do anything on his own any more. Rob Smedley tells him to do this and do that in a race. It's embarrassing. If they didn't have that long line of girls on the way to the podium he probably wouldn't find his way there as he needs Rob to hold his hand."

Felipe Massa on Fernando
"I have cousins like Fernando who always need to get their own way. But they are six and seven. There's a joke at Ferrari that no-one will go to McDonalds with Fernando any more in case he gets the wrong toy in the Happy Meal..."

Yes it's not like Massa moved over for Kimi at Interlagos.
even with a car which didnt suit him at all.
Based on what?

I doubt Alonso had a huge amount of input for the F10. They were designing the car when he was still at Renault.

Mclarens and Ferrari's in 2007 were much more evenly matched. In 2010, the Red Bull was the best car by a significant margin.
