I´m a bit of an engine nerd and I just stumbled across this website while googling for something that I´ve spent a good deal of time thinking about today, and I figure it´s probably easiest just to ask my question here:
How does the fuel delivery work in an F1 car? More specifically: What happens in the high-rpm range? In a "normal" engine the injectors will usually fire in intervals depending on load and engine speed. I imagine that at 19000 rpm it´s a bit more complicated to get the timing and the amount exactly right. Do F1 engines do something differently?
Thanks! I´ll probably hang around here quite a bit reading up on F1 technology.
