Montoya wins, Schumi only 7th

After an imminent crash at the start, which was actually caused by Ralf Schumacher, some top drivers like Ralf, Kimi Raikkonen and Barrichello were not able to continue anymore. Columbian Juan Pablo Montoya made the best of the whole weekend, where a very good start from pole kept him out of danger. The podium was furthermore completed by Coulthard, who drove a solid race from 10th starting position, and Trulli, just in front of team-mate Alonso. Jarno Trulli was afterwards very tired because of being under lots of pressure during the race and did not join the press conference. Michael Schumacher dropped 5 races before the end from 2nd to 7th, after suffering a flat rear left tire.The championship is now even more open, with Montoya closing on Schumacher, and jumping over Raikkonen to second place.
