Motorsport is the biggest team sport in the world - Kubica

Robert Kubica is by no means a lone warrior. The BMW Sauber F1 Team driver sees motorsport as "the biggest team sport in the world." Teamwork is the key to success. A team of over 400 personnel in Munich and Hinwil are working on the continued development of the BMW Sauber F1 Team.

The two drivers, Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica, might be in the public eye, but the podium finishes and World Championship points are also the reward for the hard work put in by employees in the wind tunnel, those developing the car, engineers, and everyone else employed by the BMW Sauber F1 Team.

"Most people don't bother to look behind the Formula One system. They have completely the wrong impression because they just see the drivers," Kubica told the Swiss media. "They think the driver do everything. However, we win and lose together here. It is impossible to have more team spirit than we have in this team."

"Motorsport is the biggest team sport in the world," Robert summarises. "500 or 600 people work toward the success of one individual driver - in which other sports do you get that?"
