McLaren signs Cheng Congfu
West McLaren Mercedes have today announced that they have signed 19-year old chinese talent Cheng Congfu. The Woking-based outfit will provide Cheng with sponsorship. Cheng is set to join the Manor Motorsport team in British Formula Renault.McLaren hope with this move to capitalise on the broadening market of Formula One, especially in Asia. One of China's most important cities, Shanghai will be hosting a Formula One-event in 2004 for the first time.
