Sharp acceleration in cost cutting - Domenicali

The Scuderia Ferrari is taking its cost cutting measures more seriously for the upcoming season, after seeing fellow manufacturer Honda F1 leave the sport a mere week ago due to financial issues. Although this step at the Italian team is nothing new, but it is simply advancing on measures which were already in place since a few years back.

"This process had already begun over the last few years. But now it's going to have a sharp acceleration," said team director Stefano Domenicali about cost-cutting to 'Corriere della Sera' in a recent interview.

While finishing off with an eye-opening remark about the imperative issue the sport is being faced with; "F1 has already weathered some very tough times. It's key to react lucidly and avoid mistakes in strategy that you could pay a costly price for when things improve."
