Alonso's title hopes remain strong

With a great end to the 2008 season by Fernando Alonso and the Renault F1 team, along with a fresh start provided by the drastic regulation changes for this season, the Spanish driver is hoping to carry over the momentum and end up with both the Drivers and Constructors titles in 2009.

"In 2009 we have to aim very high. Our goal is to win the championship. Obviously we know it will be difficult," Alonso said to 'Eurosport' in a recent interview.

"When you win a drivers' title, winning the constructors' one is more special because usually it's harder to score points. So winning both titles is our goal. That was very hard to do last year, but then, when we were strong in the final races our goals changed."
