Toyota and Jarno Trulli went to see the stewards after the Monaco qualifying session to complain about Fernando Alonso. Acccording to the Italian he lost vital time after Alonso as he caught up with him at the exit of La Rascasse. On the footage of the session, Alonso appeared to move to the left, out of Trulli's path, but still the Toyota racer is convinced he could have done better if he wasn't impeded by the Spaniard.

Trulli said: "I was putting the car through to Q2 but unfortunately in the last two corners I found the Renault which has blocked me and so I've lost my quickest lap and that was it. We have reported to the stewards and they are looking at it, and I am sure they will take action."
