Welcome Fernando! - Schumacher
Seven time world champion Michael Schumacher has welcomed former rival Fernando Alonso to the Scuderia Ferrari, and claims to have approved of the idea since the initial stages. Interestingly enough it was Alonso who won the last two championships in which Schumacher still competed in; 2005 and 2006.
Writing in his personal website, Schumacher said, "Fernando with Ferrari, that's something I like a lot. I was involved from the very beginning in this decision, and I always liked the idea. I am sure Fernando will feel well with us, and I can only say: Welcome, Fernando!"
