Henkel and Brawn GP come to an agreement

After Henkel and Mercedes GP were involved in a legal dispute regarding a sponsorship deal, both parties have come to an agreement and have settled their disputes for good. The problem involved an unauthorized Henkel representative signing off on a sponsorship deal with the former Brawn GP squad worth about €90m, and the company itself retracting the deal after learning of the unauthorized three year agreement.

A statement released by the Mercedes GP team reads: 'Brawn GP announced today that the differences between Brawn GP and Henkel with regard to a Formula 1 sponsorship have been resolved by mutual agreement. All potential claims will be dropped. As a consequence, all court proceedings will be withdrawn.

The new Formula 1 Team Mercedes GP Petronas together with the colleagues from the former Formula 1 Team Brawn GP will continue to cooperate with the Prosecutor's Office and assist in the further clarification of the matter.'
