F1 Test, Jerez, Circuit Permanente de Jerezes

The third day of the test sessions started this morning with ten teams taking part in the 2010 Formula 1 Championship under an almost completely covered sky. For the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Felipe Massa, taking over from Fernando Alonso, went onto the track.

The Brazilian driver, who arrived at the track yesterday, went out immediately to benefit from the dry track in the morning, considering that the weather forecast for the rest of the day isn’t encouraging at all. In fact just after 10am rain started to fall. Until then Felipe had driven 23 laps, the fastest in a time of 1.21.603, although by the end of the day he completed a total of 72, although no improvement in time.

The fastest lap of the day so far was driven by the Ferrari-powered Toro Rosso Ferrari with Alguersuari in 1.19.919.

Today Felipe’s F10 is fitted with a new unit of the 056 engine: the one used until last night ran almost 2,400 kilometres during the five days of the Scuderia’s testing since the start of the season.
