Button fastest V8 runner on day two at Jerez

It was another sunny day in Jerez for the second day of Honda Racing F1 Team’s three-day test. Jenson Button has now joined the test team, taking over from Anthony Davidson in chassis 078-07, and spent the morning session running through some early set-up work, completing 52 laps.

Jenson spent the afternoon working through a Michelin tyre evaluation, looking at various compounds. He completed a total of 70 laps today and set the second fastest time, a 01:19.087 – the fastest time of the V8 runners.

James Rossiter continued his running in the new 078-08 car. He ran through a chassis set-up programme, completing 37 laps in the morning and a further 31 laps in the afternoon session.

NB: Badoer, Montagny, Kovaleinan, Klien, Coulthard & Van Hooydonk are in V10 cars.
