McLaren about Michelin's statement

Michelin have announced yesterday that it will not be competing in Formula One past the 2006 season. Here follows the comment of Martin Whitmarsh, CEO Fomula One of the McLaren Mercedes team on the announcement.

Martin Whitmarsh, CEO Formula One, Team Mclaren Mercedes made the following comment today following Michelin's earlier announcement.
"Obviously we are sad to see Michelin leave Formula One after the 2006 season. However we understand and accept their decision and know that they are fully committed to winning the Championships in 2006. Michelin did a great job this year and all their efforts have been appreciated by everybody at Team McLaren Mercedes. We will continue to work closely with Michelin in 2006 and do our best to ensure that they leave Formula One on a high."
