F1 Grand Prix, GP Monaco, Monte Carlo Circuitmc

With a sunny start in Monte Carlo, the teams had their hands full trying to set up the cars and rubber in the street circuit. But an engine failure for Heikki Kovalainen mean that the session ended with a few minutes left. This meant that Fernando Alonso ended up the quickest of the morning as there was oil spread across the track and the running was cut short.

Making up the top three were different constructors, with Romain Grosjean and Sergio Perez representing Lotus-Renault and Sauber, respectively, after the Spaniards Ferrari.
