As the Silverstone test for young drivers came to a conclusion, Valtteri Bottas was once again at the helm of the FW34 where he completed more mileage and settled in with the modern car. Also important for the Finn was understanding the 2012 Pirelli's more as he has only had some free practices this year to run on them.

Driver: Valtteri Bottas
Chassis / engine: FW34-01 / RS27- 5259/2
Location: Silverstone International Circuit, England 3.057kms
Objectives: Mileage for Valtteri, driver development and general set-up work
Weather: Track damp to start, overcast skies and some rain showers
Ambient & track temps: 20ºC / 30ºC

Dominic Harlow, Senior Operations Engineer: "It was another good test for the team here at Silverstone, today running on the shorter International Circuit. We were able to get a good evaluation of several new components across various systems on the car as part of the ongoing development, alongside giving Valtteri more mileage in the car. Valtteri again drove well, whilst the weather held up, enabling us to achieve another productive day for the team."

Valtteri Bottas: "It was another successful day today for the team, with a trouble-free performance and no problems with the car. It was useful to get some longer runs in again today and it was good for me to get a better understanding of the tyres, and how the team works. We were lucky with the weather today considering the forecast, as we were able to do most of the runs in the dry, despite a bit of dampness early on."
