Webber ups the pace in FP2

Mark Webber upped the pace in the second practice session at Suzuka, in preparation of the Japanese GP. Lewis Hamilton was second, just like in first practice while Webber's team mate at Red Bull Racing, Sebastian Vettel was third quickest.

With the early pace was set by Jenson Button, the session was full of action, mostly because cars got in trouble.

Mercedes AMG for instance had a very busy afternoon as the team were changing the engine on Nico Rosberg's car due to an oil pressure issue found at the end of FP1. New suspension parts were meanwhile fitted on Schumacher's car, but those were quickly ruined again as the German put a wheel onto the grass and went off at Spoon Curve. A couple of minutes before that, Paul di Resta had a similar accident at the same corner, putting him out of action for the remainder of the session.

The most remarkable incident perhaps was with Vitaly Petrov. His car suffered a rear wing failure on the straight, causing him to crash out in turn 1. He came to a halt in the gravel trap a few minutes before the end of the session.
