Formula One’s only American team Haas have shown off their brand-new 2023 Formula One car, the VF-23 ahead of its shakedown test at Silverstone on Saturday.

The Kannapolis-based outfit became the first team to reveal their new color scheme for the 2023 F1 season after showing off photos of the new livery of their VF-23 at the end of January. However, the new colors were presented on the team’s last year’s car with the livery reflecting the new title partnership of MoneyGram International Inc.

Haas have now revealed images of their new car, the VF-23 ahead of their shakedown test that takes place today at Silverstone. The photos were taken at the team’s British factory in Banbury that is located just around 15 miles from Silverstone.

The team will sport a new driver line up for the upcoming season. Following his return to the team, Kevin Magnussen will stay on for another year with Haas, but his team mate will be Nico Hulkenberg, who takes over the team’s second seat from fellow countryman Mick Schumacher.

Haas was not the only team to complete a shakedown test ahead of the sole official pre-season test that takes place at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 23-25. Teams have an allocation of two filming days throughout the year when they can complete a maximum of 100km of running on Pirelli’s special tyres.

Reigning world champion team Red Bull also completed a secret shakedown of their F1 2023 car at Silverstone on Friday. The team presented the livery of their brand-new RB19 in New York last week, and both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were now able to test the new car at the British track that hosted Formula One’s inaugural race back in 1950

After showing off their new car in Zurich and Hinwil earlier this week, Alfa Romeo’s C43 has hit the track for the first time as part of a shakedown run at Barcelona.

The Swiss-Italian team will sport an unchanged driver line-up in 2023 with Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu set to compete for Alfa Romeo for the second consecutive year. Both drivers were able to get a first impression of the team’s 2023 car at Barcelona with the team adamant to find out any reliability issues that hindered their progress at the start of 2022.
