Colapinto is "ready to get back out on track" after disappointing races at Imola and Barcelona

On the back of a series of tough races, Alpine driver Franco Colapinto claims that he is "ready to get back out on track" at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
Pierre Gasly finished in eighth position last time out at Barcelona. The Frenchman pitted early, and fell outside the top ten. However, he capitalized on the late safety car intervention, pitting for a fresh set of tyres.
That left him on the right compound for the restart, but he did lose out to Isack Hadjar late on. In the end, Gasly finished eighth, scoring four points for Alpine.
As for his team-mate Franco Colapinto, he managed to climb a couple of places but ultimately couldn’t play much of a part at Barcelona, though he did gain plenty more experience.
On the back of a series of tough races, Alpine's Argentinean driver claims that he is "ready to get back out on track" at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
“There were plenty of highs and lows for us as a team throughout the triple header. We did not get the results we wanted but we can see the potential and pace that the car has when we put everything together.
"Both Pierre and I have spent some time with the team back at Enstone to debrief from the past few races and to work on the simulator for the coming round. I am looking forward to the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend, and I am ready to get back out on track.
"The Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve is one I have never raced at before which means it will be key for me to get as familiar as possible as quick as possible to set ourselves up well for Qualifying.
Signing off with a word for his expectations, Colapinto added: "The weather will likely play a role over the weekend as we have seen in previous years, so that is something to be wary about.
"The aim will be to put together a solid weekend and hope to come home with some points on both sides of the garage.”
