With only seven races left in the current season, Ferrari is yet to win a Grand Prix in 2025, but it is unlikely that this will change according to the Scuderia’s Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc.

Ferrari suffered a tough weekend at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix two weeks ago. The Scuderia put in a dominant performance on the opening day of the Baku weekend, with Lewis Hamilton having set the benchmark on Friday ahead of his team-mate Charles Leclerc.

However, conditions changed massively for Saturday and so changed Ferrari’s form. Hamilton was not even able to progress into the final qualifying segment after a strategic error from Ferrari while Leclerc suffered a crash on his first hot lap in Q3.

The Monegasque and the Briton had a great start, moving up the order by a few places, but they were unable to climb any higher than P8 and P9 on a track which usually favoured Ferrari’s cars in recent seasons.

After the last two rounds at Monza and Baku where teams ran an extremely low-downforce setup, the Marina Bay Circuit will prompt the F1 field revert to a high-downforce aerodynamic configuration.

With only seven races left in the current season, Ferrari is yet to win a Grand Prix in 2025, but it is unlikely that this will change according to Charles Leclerc.

„I think it’s very unlikely, just because unfortunately McLaren is also very strong when it’s warm. Compared to our main competitors, we might be stronger—so, against Mercedes, I think we have chances to be stronger on those races, and I think we’ll be stronger on those races.

„However, compared to McLaren, I don’t think we’ll have the upper hand. But never say never. I’m looking forward to seeing where we are this weekend. Maybe another chance might be Vegas, where things are so strange on this track—tyre management, etc can be a big thing in the race.

„Maybe there will be an opportunity as well, but very little opportunity—less than the number I said for Max earlier for the championship! Quite unlikely,” concluded Leclerc.
