I can still win - Schumi

Following his dominant win at Hockenheim on Sunday, Michael Schumacher believes that he can win the World Championship this year. He lies 11 points behind Fernando Alonso, with 60 points still on the table.

"With just 11 points to catch up," says Schumacher, "there's now a chance of winning the world championship. With the Hungarian Grand Prix taking place next weekend, there is no time to do any testing, which is good for us. We're doing really well right now."

Schumacher's win at home was his fourth victory in the German Grand Prix, the 89th of his career and his 70th behind the wheel of a Ferrari. It also marked Bridgestone's 100th F1 win, rounding off a thoroughly successful weekend for Ferrari and Bridgestone.

"The win was an important threshold, both mathematically and psychologically," says Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn. "The car, engine and tyres performed faultlessly all weekend, so it was a great result. The guys at Ferrari are doing a fantastic job at developing the car."

Looking ahead to Hungary, it's a race that Schumacher has won four times already. He started last year's race from pole position and finished second.

"We have every reason to be confident," says Schumacher.
