Some changes for the F2004

Despite the fact that the F2004 has already secured the opening four wins of the season, the Scuderia is hoping to have an updated version for Spain this coming weekend as they strive for even greater performances.

"We hope to manage to go to Spain with an updated version of our car, in order to have a better performance compared to the tests carried out before Easter," Michael Schumacher explained to the Gazzetta dello Sport. "We need to prepare well for Barcelona, because that race appears to be the hardest of the beginning of the season."

One of the other reasons Michael needs to ensure the car is working at its peak is the threat from the Honda powered British American Racing team. Jenson Button took his maiden pole position in Imola, taking the clean sweep of poles this season away from Schumacher, who secured the first three of the year. Then in the race the young Brit was really putting the challenge out there, and Michael is well aware that the challenge will continue in Spain.

"I wouldn't be surprised if they are strong in Spain too. He'll (Button) certainly be one to look out for, that's why I'd be very happy to let him have the pole position, and then win the race," Michael added.
