I'm the outsider - Kubica

Prior to this weekend's British GP, Robert Kubica is still in a highly promising position. The Pole lies just two points behind championship leader Felipe Massa (Ferrari). According to Robert, however, it is far too early for any predictions regarding the battle for the title.

Currently, the BMW Sauber F1 Team driver regards himself as an outsider when it comes to securing the Drivers' Championship. "We are almost halfway through the season and I don't think that my position in the championship is by chance," says the 23-year old. "Nevertheless, I still think that I am the outsider and I'll only tell you if I am a 'hot' candidate when we're in Brazil. For the time being, I feel more like a 'David' up against lots of 'Goliaths'."

This weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone will result in another assessment of the current balance of power on the Formula One grid. To prepare for the ninth round of the season, the BMW Sauber F1 Team tested at the "Silverstone Circuit", last week. "I think that Silverstone, and also Hockenheim, will somehow become the turning point of the season," adds Kubica, "With everybody challenging everybody else in order to find their real positioning in both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships. The test at Silverstone was altogether positive and I think that some good decisions were taken."
