McLaren Mercedes F1 Team driver Lewis Hamilton was racing his F1 car in a head-to-head with a Learjet 60XR plane today at the Farnborough Air Show. Hamilton, Bombardier Learjet Brand Ambassador, promoted Bombardier's celebration of 2008 as the Year of Learjet, commemorating 45 years since the first flight of a Learjet aircraft.

Lewis Hamilton told the BBC: "Normally when I'm on the runway the planes are landing so I was a little bit nervous. But I was sitting in my car, they told me to go and I booted it to 280 km/h.

"I was sitting there on the limiter, I couldn't see where the plane was but I heard it was very, very good."
