Vettel fastest on first day at Jerez

During the first day of testing at Jerez, Toro Rosso driver Sebastian Vettel put down the fastest lap in a time of 1:19:844. The youngster was followed by McLaren's Gary Paffett and Ferrari's Luca Badoer. The BMW Sauber F1 Team decided not to continue testing today as one of their mechanics got an electric shock due to the Kinetic Energy Recovery System. The teams will be back in action tomorrow and Force India will join the session.
