Watch out on the starting grid, there'll be carnage as it comes ploughing through ;)
It's gonna have trouble going through this...

Yes, it is announced!

Manor GP is rebranded as Virgin Racing in London today, and di Grassi confirmed as Glock's partner for 2010.

I managed to find some interesting shots of the new tub from the video, not much, but you can see that they are going kind of red bull style on it:

Love the website and an impressive line up of sponsors...

Lotus & Virgin seems to be getting things moving where as the other load of new teams we havent really heard anything from... except Pete's weekly drivel...

WOW!

what a site! and a very good logo too!! Virgin really lives to its tradition of spectacular PR events and launches. Let's hope they will be as much impressive on track to fight for track positions and we will view some entertaining races next year on..... [-o<

best luck to all new teams, also to current teams too

Looks like Glock is getting his seat fitting. And looks like they have gone down the route that takes the best design philiolsiphys of the RB5 and BGP001 for the chassis.

Looks as if they already have at least 2 chassis off the production line as well, meaning they will be at Valencia for the common launch and first test of four.

Im gonna take them as a contender, with Lotus for last of the mid-feild/first of the back markers for next year.

That makes only 8 seatd left for the 2010 season, 1 @ Merceded GP, 1 @ Renault F1, 1 @ STR, 1 @ Campos-Dallara, 2 @ USF1 and 2 @ Sauber. Theres gonna be a few drivers disapointed i feel, a few quality/capable drivers on their way out that could have easily held their own in a race.

Di Grassi is not F1 material, but that Razia kid has some real talent, just needs a year or two more in a good GP2 team.

very slick in their PR that's for sure, whether this translates on-track is another issue.. an issue that will owe its success/failure to Wirth Research's philosophy solely based on CFD-design.

Interesting that they went for a rookie. I'd have though they would get as much experience as they can.

Is di Grassi a white hot talent? Or does he bring sponsorship? Or is because he is cheaper than the experienced F1 drivers?

The design process of Virgin Racing's first ever Formula 1 contender will not at any point involve a wind tunnel.

That piece of news is already on this website. Furthermore, it has already been discussed here.

As you see, f1technical is all you need

really, Nick Wirth is completely naive, he does the same with the Acura LMP's and come on, those things arent good, the only reason they won LMP was because they were the only ones, when Peugeot and Audi were contesting too they were nowhere near, so that already is a great example why he shouldnt do that.
After that article i have my doubts in Virgin already

Who needs a wind tunnel when you have Branson producing lots of hot air?

The site has some positive design elements, but it's too much an ego trip for Branson.
