Mercedes-AMG F1 W10 EQ Power+

A lot of forum members are suggesting that Mercedes shift development to their 2020 car and the 2029 car development is done. With RB and Honda resurgence and with a driver like Max on their side and with the regulations being stable for next year it makes.no sense to me for Mercedes to stop development on the 2019 car. Fail to see why that is even being suggested.
Agreed. With stable regulations heading into next year, a lot of the development that Merc do on the 2019 car will be very beneficial for the W11.

Ferrari are in a very different situation, however.
I think people mean start shifting more towards 2021 when you still have an advantage for 2019, which is very likely to carry over into 2020 as well.

That makes a bit more sense though I think they already have started work on the 2021 car at least partially because the regs haven't been finalized have they?

They've stated in the past that their current cars are developed alongside with the next year's contender. I don't see any reason why they'd change that now given their success. Whatever learnings they have gather from the W10 will help the W11.

As for 2021, they've probably already laid the groundwork for that car. Development for the cars start years before the actual season so they're probably already testing basic concepts to set their philosophy on the upcoming rules change.

Looks quiet shallow to me, I don't think its as big as it looks comparing it against the picture above it.

Seems so, having that straight side edge where it used to be curved.

Indeed, the wingbox is much smaller.

Remember how they went about trimming drag off of the car in Baku? They had a single T-wing instead of the standard double, plus they had the flow correctors removed from the top of the halo.... They really seem to like the pressure gradient that big ol' wing generates, don't they?

But AoA appears to be much steeper than pretty much every other team...

Oh wow! Right in time for Spa and Monza. Wonder what they are bringing to the table. Outright increase in horsepower OR better ERS deployment/recovery?
