I think both punishments are fair, on to the sprint now!
Personally a bit pointless and don't think I'll bother, the championship is now done and over.

Onto 2022.
There's more than 2 teams you know, the midfield is tighter than ever
I'm not too keen on sprint either but it sure is better than waiting for the stewards decisions!

Nevertheless it was disgusting how Mercedes tried to blame it on Max. That's why it took so long, because they had to watch and analyze all the footage.
And literally every other team on the grid would have done the same in Mercedes shoes, and how would they have known max didn’t have any influence without analysing all the footage?

Wait how did Bottas not be DSQ’ed when both Mercs were running the same rear wing? Was it because RB filed in a protest towards car #44?
It was simply a faulty part. The document reads like it is wear on the pivots. Maybe they use wings for more events than previously due to the budget cap.

Yes, had a read of the documents and noticed it’s a faulty part. Shame :(

That is a blow to Lewis title chance but who knows how things will still go, all we need is a Max DNF and the game is back on. Lewis will be on fire for the rest of the season now with no more mr nice guy in wheel to wheel battles

No way. Title is done

Max would have to have an engine failure and fail to continue after crashing with Lewis in another race for Hamilton to have a sniff at the championship.

Max will be taking 3 sprint points and 25 pts on Sunday. Lewis might get 10-15 pts at best. Max will be making two or three p1-p2 finish results in terms of pts on Lewis this weekend.

RB and Max have put a fork in the championship now.

So will Hamilton have pitlane start for the Sprint race?

Ok. If Bottas is the wingman he suppose to be, he has to do "the job".

As if Baku blow out, Silverstone & Huntary take outs, inducing engine penalties aren't enough, now one more DNF is needed for Max to bring back an error prone driver and team back into contention, who lagged behind purely on their own inefficiencies. That's fair. :)

Oh look, it wasn’t intentional after all, what a surprise. What shall the tin foil hats cook up next?

Championship over then, as expected.

Explain what "the job" is so we are all clear what you mean.

I wonder if Hamilton will now get a completely new PU (all components) since he is likely to start towards the back of the grid anyway (main race)

Well that’s the rules. What I have no idea on is why it took so damn long.

What a stupid way to practically end this championship run. Bwoah.

Ignore the rule because its near the end of the season? Anything else they should exclude? What race is the cut off point?
