exactly, if a "worker" does not follow a work instruction or procedure, they are considered "rogue",rogue employees can cost lives.
clearly you have never been in a leadership position.
The marshals was following procedure though so he hadn’t “gone rogue”
then why was their inconsistency between electronic and manual system?
There can only be 5 reasons for system failure.
1 WI not followed
2 WI not understood
3 WI not effective
4 Person don't want to follow WI (discipline)
5 Person not trained to be competent in following WI
The answer has already been given too you. Individual marshals have the authority to throw yellows or double yellows as they see fit, so the marshal at that post was literally doing his job.

‘My frustration wasn’t with an individual marshal’. This from a guy who was directly talking about ‘a rogue marshal’ earlier.

He couldn’t lie straight in bed.

If you read the rules that many of us had posted yesterday, you would see that the individual marshals are the ones with power to decide when flags should be shown not the race director. The race director's job is to deal with red flags, and communicating information to the other marshals regarding flags in adjacent track sections.
I’m all fine with it. Penalty ís penalty. You know the other “mitigating” arguments were also true but double yellow is double yellow. Just very unfortunate Max missed it. It also only came when Gasly stopped. They got caught out and Max missed it too.

Verdict was very clear. Just remember, others have also regularly ran through yellows. Next time if the shoe is on the other foot just remember how about principals this is.

Anyhow, great race by Max, at least hope is still alive. If that is viable, we will see next race(s).

agree, but why was there inconsistency in the system? who failed? why?
Whoever ran the electronic system is the one that failed. They gave the all clear when it was blatantly obvious that the track wasn't.
Yes, and that certainly contributed to Max getting the penalty (fairly and rightly). He payed the price, also for thát. But made it good with a super start.

There was no conflicting safety information for the drivers, any driver who has done a track day should know that u should watch out of any flag or any safety information on the track... even if ur team on pit wall don't inform you. Basic safety for drivers

So you accept conflicting safety information as absolutely ok? and acceptable?
hope you add that to your resume, se how far you get with such a slack attitude.
There was no conflating information when the rule "waved flags override everything else" is understood.

So the main failure was Max for either not understanding the rules, not following the rules or not paying attention to the track. This is a strict liability situation.

So, if max wins one more race, he has the championship bar any unforeseen failures or setbacks preventing p2. And if Lewis was to win the championship he would have to win both remaining races, am I missing something?

I'm thinking a Mercedes 1-2 in Saudi, as everyone seems to think Merc will be stronger there, then in Abu Dhabi Lewis just needs to be ahead of Max.

off course there is, two systems should work in tandem, else what is the use of it? should they get rid of the electronic system.

All Lewis needs to do is finish first in the next 2 races to secure WDC
&
All Bottas needs to do is finish 4th or higher to secure Constructors

Redbull can have the fastest lap in both races and that wont change anything

So for Max to win he needs to beat Lewis and win at least one of the next 2 races

Cant rely on Bottas, I don't think he will finish 2nd in Jeddha, Maybe if they are back to the levels we seen in 2020

No, the electronic system is supplementary to the flag system which is primarily.
During qualifying yesterday the secondary system fail, the primary did not.
Is that so hard to understand?

so a system failure by a marshal (a marshal must activate the electronic system from the marshaling post)

I can recall you calling for Vettels head a couple of years back because he ignored the "electronic" system, when a marshal did not do his job....
Resorting to personal attack

The track flag has priority over the "electronic" system
really is it that difficult to understand
