Interesting that Hamilton has now finished testing (Bahrain) without putting up a fast lap. Yes, Merc have historically spent most of the hybrid era thumping out huge milage, but they have generally put in one or 2 fast laps. I wonder what Russell's run plan will be this afternoon.
Andrew Showlin told yesterday that Hamilton would be concentrating on long run pace and Russel on short run pace.

I was intrigued as to what is race sim light

And also Lewis top speed was showing just 270 on s/f... so it's just them hiding their pace like I said before
That looks more like keeping low speed due to having a problem with bouncing than keeping the pace hidden. If that was indeed the case during the entire sim.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

I wonder what some drivers would give for the allowance of small skirts to seal the floors. No need to have the cars so close to the ground that they need to porpoise. Unless I’ve utterly misunderstood the problem of course.
Just the clever suspension they used to run would probably be enough. It's the return to simple suspension that's made life difficult.
Either/or really then.

Race sim light??
He was seemingly much slower than what would have been possible. Have you read what I wrote?

Cutting top speed would be a stupid way to "hide" "pace". it's it's so easy to extrapolate lap time.
teams employ engineers, not fans. hardly a challenge for them to extrapolate!

From where the Lewis top speed is "270" came? I saw him reaching 306+ in the main straight.

GAME over for Mercedes, The REDBULL are on another level. They could potentially be faster than last year's time.
Aston Martin looking good, Merc seem slower than them, even if it is sandbags, they are struggling with bottoming already.

Those are some very competitive times for day time.

The Mercedes is good in slow speed corners and is geared lower than most of the cars. It looks like it is still a mess and will require some time to get sorted.
Honda!
