Great race in the end - slow burn and built to a peak - and fair play to Max for pulling it out.

I think the VSC and the yellow flag played slightly into Max’s hands at the end but then the first safety car helped Charles against Checo, so it’s swings and roundabouts.

Each race just makes me excited for the next one!

Well, that 1 second that VER gained under VSC really brought him under DRS range and allowed this to happen...
It seems it was the case on a couple of occasions last year as well with Verstappen/Redbull making time under VSC always went under the radar.
Charles pulled about 3 seconds on Max?

Checo could be promoted to P3 if Sainz gets a penalty
Perez is under investigation too isnt he?

Just about everyone I think. Everyone's times were about as fast.

Oh and what I love is they there’s no pitting to get a kinda ‘gimme’ fastest lap - it’s the person who does the fastest lap while racing who gets that reward. This is going to be interesting as that extra point here and there may well affect the championship if it goes to the wire and gives the 2nd place guy something to push for even if behind.

Good point. I hated that was a thing

I think Sainz, Checco and I think Mags.

Can someone tell me if Max being in-line or even slightly passing the lead car while safety car is ending is legal or in spirit of the rules or in line with a gentlemens agreement between drivers? Or he just blatantly does not care… I have never seen any driver ever do what he does on SC restarts… 🤷🏻

I think you’re right in that it did help. My PoV when watching it (and as a Ferrari fan) is that Max might have just done a better job reacting to the Green. Maybe I’m wrong and there’s more to it.

I still think it is what it is and these things are all evened out in the end.

Wait, what ? I must've missed a new rule or something.

What is it ?

Education is that which allows a nation free, independent, reputable life, and function as a high society; or it condemns it to captivity and poverty.

Max also benefited from the first safety car, it literally all went his way - you wouldn't have thought the amount he complained on the radio

I don't know how they can investigate anyone for yellow flag infringements when they yellow flag messages were so all over the places and confusing in rapid on-off-on-off style.

Was a good race. Action throughout the field.

Congrats to Max Verstappen. He did what he needed to do. He made good use of the higher top speed of the car. Once he passed LeClerc he knew it was done and dusted.

My driver of the race is Charles Leclerc though! That's how you drive with your head! Charles is showing to be a little professor of a driver.

I think stewards need to clamp down on this. It's an unfair advantage.

Sergio was perfect but got hit with Latifi Hammer (what an inept crash this was).
Red Bull straight line setup prevailed.
DRS was a little too powerful for my taste here, let's wait and see but number of zones and opening angle may need adjustment.
