Max is the only person unable to share Copse with Lewis. That suggests that the problem is with Max, not Lewis. #-o
Officials thought otherwise.
The only crash was when Max was involved. Doesn't matter about officials - the fact is Lewis has been through Copse with other drivers without crashing. Only one turned in.
That's your personal opinion, not a fact and I am satisfied with official take on the mater.

Two different years, two different cars, similar positioning by leading car. One was tagged by the following car that was inside and one wasn't.

Hard to disagree with this evidence. Lewis missed the apex last year, this time he made it. Really don't understand why he was so petty to reference the incident again. Let bygones be bygones.

The real difference is that this year the stakes were very different. Last year, both Lewis and Max knew that whoever was ahead after that corner would probably win the race, so both went all in. This year, Lewis (and Charles) knew that there was nothing at stake, Lewis would just blast past in the next DRS straight, so no need to go to the limit.

Don’t even see a need for Lewis to bring it up. Just bitterness and pettiness. Reminding everyone of the incident where he was at fault.

Maybe Max is living rent free in his head?

Max Verstappen responds with laughter to HAM's comments after #BritishGP that LEC would be a wiser driver as now 2 drivers could get through Copse: "It is positive that as a driver at 37 you can still learn how to pass an apex..." #F1 #AustianGP

GOLD!!

Love Max for being himself and giving some of it back. Hamilton is looking more and more desperate!

People accused him of trying to kill Max. That probably stays in your memory a while.

Also all the quotes about Hamilton in the first few races this season, emanating from their main rivals last year(driver, principle and resident Darth Helmet), was peculiar. Hamilton was very quiet, and didn't respond to most of the comments.
Obviously this will never be noted by his detractors.

Well, for some reason my original rebuttal to this argument was deleted. Yes, that rebuttal was based on a hyperbolic metaphore, but to my knowledge that's a perfectly admissible rhetorical style-figure for such discourse, and it was very effective in showing the flaw in this argumentation.

Nevertheless, I shall attempt again, with a more neutral and much less effective approach then, as that seems to be a requirement...

If there is a situation where A and B clash, and a similar situation between A and C where there is no clash, it is in no way a logical conclusion that the issue must then be with B. There are plenty of other things that could have happened;

- A could have made a mistake in situation 1, and not in 2 (there is no role of B or C in the outcome)
- The relation between A and B may differ from the relation of A and C, leading to a different approach by A in situation 1 compared to situation 2 (while the relation with B is a factor, one cannot claim B itself is the cause - it could just as well be A, as their attitude to B differs)
- There could be technical factors at play that make the situation 1 and 2 differ (different weight, tires, car characteristics, etc.)

The conclusion that 'Max was only a factor in one so it must have been him' is frankly ludicrous.

Max should note that the only person not able to go through Copse with Lewis is him. Lesson to learn, Max.
Like Verstappen said, finally Hamilton learnt how to hit apex, which was what Officials found was lagging last year. :)
And yet there is zero requirement to hit an apex? Perhaps Max should consider his learning as incomplete too? 🤣🤣

But then, what was Hamilton trying to do, if he was intentionally not hitting the apex?

These two incidents are not the same for several reasons so aren't really worth comparing. The main thing is the entry to the corner is totally different because Max squeezed Lewis right up to the inside wall directly before the corner (fair) so their lines through the corner are totally different.

Sure, next time when he is inside on Copse with a guy faster than him ahead. Yes.

Let’s not forget the British fans cheered when max spun last week.

I don’t agree with the cheering/booing but can’t just expect one nation of fans to sit quiet the week after the other set Fans were doing the same.

And that’s a HUGE bill for Mercedes’ tonight
spin =/= crash... it was fine for the spin... big crash for a driver that mandates a medical center visit... not so much.
Like Silverstone last year too?
