Gasly to Alpine and Ricciardo to AT does not seem like a weird scenario to me. Gasly has been tried and tested, and his performances are decent to good, but not standing out. Plus the upward trend has stalled. And he is not the most marketable personality(to an energy drink company). But he is french, which I think Alpine values.

A Ricciardo performing at his normal level should be able too perform a similar role at AT, while being more marketable. And if he finds back the good version of himself, he may be more than that.

Ricciardo to AT, and he might have a chance to go back to RB in '25?

I'm not sure this is as implausible as it may seem. 2018 Riccardo was a "might be champion someday"-driver, both in his mind, and the belief of others. The 2022 Riccardo might just be happy to have a couple of wins in a season.

Red Bull and Verstappen has a proven tendency to disintegrate the second driver at a quite rapid pace. I think Perez is holding up better because of his experience, his place in his career, and also him being ok with not being as fast as Verstappen. But now even Perez shows signs of cracking.

Alpha Tauri is first and foremost a vehicle to supply the parent team with drivers. But it hasn't really worked since the promotion of Verstappen, and it's current lineup is not consistent with this strategy.

Gasly has, to be blunt, been tried, tested and found wanting. And Tsunoda, well... yeah.

Dr. Helmut Marko has, also, started making friendly noises about Riccardo. So, yes, it might actually happen.

Off topic, but I can't find a thread for the 2026 forward regulations ?
Is it still missing, or can someone point me in the right direction ?

Does anyone think Nyck de Vries has a legitimate chance of landing a full time drive next year? IMHO I can see him at Williams replacing Latifi.
