ALO penalty incoming.

HAM was ahead, defo ALOs responsibility to provide the room
Mate, I'm a Hamilton fan and that is just not the case. Alonso was alongside and had every right to be there, pure desperation and idiocy from Lewis there.
Ham must've thought Alonso backed off. Sadly for him, it wasn't the case. I don't think he was trying to be malicious - he had more to lose, it was just bad judgment.

Hamilton literally cut straight across the front of Alonso.
He was half a car in front. Please put your hatred of Hamilton aside and look at this objectively.

Everyone disagrees with you.
I’m not sure whats more funny. You ignoring any comments that don’t fit your narrative, or genuinely thinking the car who’s well in front doesn’t have priority.

What’s even more funny is the likes of Martin brundle, crofty all saying Hamilton was 100% at fault. Luckily he isn’t getting a penalty next race.

Alonso being a sore loser , once more showing he's never gotten over it despite the passing of 15 years. It was a racing incident and the driver at fault paid for it.
Hamilton should know by now if Alonso is on the inside he’s never going to give up the corner to him. If it was Max it’d be a wave by… And there he goes on Kemmel…

Rules have been codified for overtaking, this isn’t me favouring one or the other. HAM was ahead at the apex, it’s a simple interpretation of the rules:

For overtaking outside of a corner

In order for a car being overtaken to be required to give sufficient room to an overtaking car, the overtaking car needs to have a significant portion of the car alongside the car being overtaken and the overtaking manoeuvre must be done in a safe and controlled manner, while enabling the car to clearly remain within the limits of the track.

When considering what is a ‘significant portion’, for an overtaking on the outside of a corner, among the various factors that will be looked at by the stewards when exercising their discretion, the stewards will consider if the overtaking car is ahead of the other car from the apex of the corner. The car being overtaken must be capable of making the corner while remaining within the limits of the track.

Max saying High-Deg like Sainz... and still substantially quicker than pretty much anybody else on the track.

Taking a page out of the Mercedes strategy book?

Priority doesn't mean you can squeeze the car on the inside. Alonso's front right tire was already on the right hand side kerb. Hamilton had to give 50 cm to Alonso, and everything would've been 🍑

Yea ham was definitely more at fault this time. He was too aggressive on his turn in and considering it's Alonso it was bound to happen. This was the exact same move max pulled on ham at Imola last year and I think ham assumed he would bail like he did.

Bottas qualifies 20th, takes 20 places of grid penalties and starts 2 places out of the points. Amazing
1. Skip first 21 races, use no engines or parts, rack up grid positions
2. Start last race from -P1^4 without qualifying, win WDC & WCC after one out lap and a 1 hr pit stop
...
Profit!

Ironically max pulled the same move last year at Imola on ham. Difference is ham backed out

Hamilton seems touched a nerve on Alonso. Lots of frustration came out there with that comment
Of course I struggle. I just don’t quit.

We've seen cases where hamilton was inside and behind, and a lot of MB fans here shifting the blame to the guy outside and ahead when touching. Consistency is not very strong.
I need to see a replay to form an opion here. From memory now, it seems quite Silverstony. Outside and ahead you may be entitled to the corner, but claiming it is costly. Edit: aside from that, Alo was as far inside as he could. So yeah, I can't blame him really.
