Albon/Ricciardo @ Willims w/RBR listed parts deal could jump Williams into the top 4. Jost should be on the phone today.

Albion/deVries at Williams would be a safer bet than extending Ricciardo’s slide to the bottom. Williams is has ambition of getting up the grid and is no longer the type of outfit who’d happily take on drivers on the slide.

To have a job?

His driving the past couple of years doesn't exactly warrant first class treatment.

Obviously this won't happen because Perez is contracted until 2024.
With a pending hole at AT, we know how ez it is to open Checo's seat at RBR.
But why would RB replace Perez who is performing adequately, securing them the WCC a la Bottas, to get an underperforming DR? Daniel has been mauled by Lando in two fundamentally different cars. Going up against Verstappen would be the knockout blow.
Since the summer Perez has been on average 6/10ths slower than Max, Daniel has only been 3/10ths slower than Lando.

Plus we know that Daniel likes the same strong front end that Max does. He’s also the only RedBull driver to have been genuinely competitive with Max every weekend.

Max isn’t Lando.

Then stop doing direct time comparisons. Completely useless exercise.

If Mick doesn't find a seat for 2023, it would be first time in 33 years, there won't be a German driver on the grid! In that duration, German drivers won 12 titles and 9 runner up (10 if 1997 wasn't a disqualification) positions. Close to 25 years in headlines.

Unless Hulk gets HAAS drive next year as some speculate.

Just curious if we can expect to see SV following KR and MS's footsteps by returning to F1 after taking a 2-3 years sabbatical from the sport. 2026 may open up many new possibilities for German WDC drivers like SV. e.g. Team Audi (2026), or even Merc (after LH retirement).
SV is washed up. If he returns it will be for a backmarker or emergency back-up.

I don't even think SV likes F1 anymore.

Schumacher name too big for Mick not to get a seat. Better blelieve Jean Todt and Domenicalli pulling all the strings to keep him there.
