If this Chronos stuff is not completely fanciful, it may be that the compressor ingress is reversed and the end plate is shaft bearing support. Guessing you people may have already figured this out, bit slow here.
The claim is a 2 kg weight reduction in the vee located water intercooler with more efficiency

I mean, I don't know about the rest of the F 175 but, that turbo design is just wrong.
I think the turbo is a radial entry, axial exit type turbo to a SABER type inter cooler, which itself is a axial entry radial exit type of intercooler.

No there is no such compressor u talking about. No matter on witch position it is. They just designed its entry and exit housing around conventional radial compressor.

Why does the intercooler have an exterior heat shield in the center? Proof that the hot air coming from the compressor impacts the "back" of the IC before exiting the IC to the airbox?
You can even see the color diference from earlier pictures.

The problem is there is little insight into how the energy is being deployed. This would provide clues as to whether Ferrari clipping at the end is actually a disadvantage, or whether it's simply because of a different deployment strategy.

It's explained by drag. The top speed is not a good placd to measure engine power. Too much aero effect dominate.

The amount of time for which you can deploy that 120Kw can be predicted without knowing how much drag you are carrying. It's only a function of the state of charge of the energy store and the output power of the MGU-K.
