Don't think montreal and Imola have anything in common. Montreal is high speed. Tough on brakes and rear tires.

They barely get over 300kph in Imola, up the curved straight hill.

Stacking tolerances. A bigger package in Canada would allow them to make a larger step. That quote about not making sense for Barcelona could also mean its just a low downforce package for Canada, SPA, Monza....

We were talking the Imola upgrade being brought to Montreal.. Why would they have brought a low downforce package to Imola?

Who knows what it is? We're just guessing.

he also said that some of the imola upgrade makes no sense for barcelona so it will be released later (canada i assume)
No, he said that the rest of the new package from Imola (which was not used in Monaco) comes to Barcelona, referring to Krack.

So much for the "biggest update" of the year.
A new FW, subtle changes to the rear (RW endplate and beam wing) and a re-aligned nose camera incidence.

Maybe, but only maybe, random twitter guys are not the best sources...

Which update in 2023 was bigger than this one for AM?

PG from Formu1a who is reliable says that this package (minus the floor) has been brought to Barcelona - an aggregation of updates that would've been brought to imola and Canada. However, the floor is not yet ready and will probably be brought at Canada

Could be, as Krack only talked about "1-2 things" in Monaco from the Imola package that they hold back for Barcelona. Although the same journalist wrote yesterday that they will bring something for the floor (not true obviously)...

De La Rosa said in an ORF interview before FP1 that these are very minor changes (despite FW) and that they try to bring such small packages now to every upcoming race (that's real info for me).

Yeah not sure what's going on. He was much better than this before the break before Miami and he was pretty injured still at that time!

Stroll looked alright last Saturday (3rd in FP3, 5th in Q1) before he hit that piece of debris, or whatever it was. But sure, needs to step up tomorrow again

Actually, AM will be hoping the slump continues for exactly 2 more races....As it would give them P3 WT time for the rest of the year

Apparently he's one tenth behind Fernando in the long runs. Pedro DLR said he expects Lance will bring points from now on.
