Thats a nice program with a not so nice price for common mortals like us, who do not work for the automotive industry. Its an "engine specific" soft so, the difference between Lotus and other CDF softwares is you dont have to model "a pipe" and make a gas pass through it, but you model the entire engine and you get several graphics and a text report.
The soft is very user friendly and you get a nice toturial and help files to understand how it works (even the theory behind heat exchange model, for example) and you have to have in mind the calculations are made as 1 DOF gas model.
Currently Im modeling a Ford Falcon TC (just one 512cm3 cilinder from the 6 in-line to take some conclusions for the exhaust pipe design). The intake is heavily regulated by TC rules and so the bore X stroke, but you have some little margin to play with.
I would like to have the concept valvetrain add-on to play with, too. But sadly a pound equals AR$6
