I just downloaded the file and it seems OK to me. The site takes some time to start delivering the file.

No, I didn´t and don´t plan to either. I don´t know what the problem is but since both Ciro and I were able to download the file (for me it took 4sec. with 200kb/s) it is most likely some problem with your PC. Dumb question: do you have the latest software installed?

Thats a nice program with a not so nice price for common mortals like us, who do not work for the automotive industry. Its an "engine specific" soft so, the difference between Lotus and other CDF softwares is you dont have to model "a pipe" and make a gas pass through it, but you model the entire engine and you get several graphics and a text report.

The soft is very user friendly and you get a nice toturial and help files to understand how it works (even the theory behind heat exchange model, for example) and you have to have in mind the calculations are made as 1 DOF gas model.

Currently Im modeling a Ford Falcon TC (just one 512cm3 cilinder from the 6 in-line to take some conclusions for the exhaust pipe design). The intake is heavily regulated by TC rules and so the bore X stroke, but you have some little margin to play with.

I would like to have the concept valvetrain add-on to play with, too. But sadly a pound equals AR$6 :(

If you mean my OS its Vista and updated, all browsers are updated. I tried creating an account to see if that was the problem but it still only downloads a small file repeatedly. Also tried disabling popup blocking still nothing.
I'll try my laptop which runs XP and see if I have better luck there.

Update:  Unbelievable! Change to XP laptop and same version of Firefox and it downloads 1st try, no user account login either. Good tutorial, thanks for posting it, will try it in SW2007

Stop wasting time with SolidWorks. Put some effort into getting/using a better program. I use STAR CCM+ through CD-Adapco for my aero and thermal development

We´re all aware that FloWorks isn´t among the best CFD programs out there and if we could, we would get something better  But the thing is, maybe we can´t afford something better, or maybe we don´t even need something better for what we´re doing at the moment :)

And what is the difference in the results between FloWorks and Star CCM when simulating simple tests anyway? 3 percent? 5 percent? I can live with that
