200 iQ move by Verstapen to try and pass Russell right before a huge DRS straight!

Thankfully Lady Luck took care of him once more and he didn’t end up with a puncture or something…

He can’t seem to battle without pushing the other one off the track or hitting him…
Didnt Russell admit that it was his fault?

This is usual routine here. Even if the driver admits, no no driver is wrong I am right, it's other guy's fault. It's so easy to accept and move on instead of dragging the wrong argument to death.

Meh. Soulless stuff. Sure you could slap a 2km straight at Hungaroring and you'd see same results.

Also cringey how every driver was forced to praise the track post-race. They were probably told off by FOM given Max's comments.

The direction Liberty is taking F1 into is not a particularly attractive one.

If they want long straight, they should go to Le Mans

Did I mention anywhere that it wasn’t Russell’s fault?

I’m saying why would you want to pass someone before the detection zone of a huge DRS straight? It could well have been race destroying damage there for Max…

Verstappen was faster than Russell, much faster. He made a pass into T7. Detection point is near T13, some distance away. Russell wouldn't have been able to come back. He was just slower.

and besides, aren't people always crying that they want to see more non-DRS overtakes because RB DRS is overpowered. So when Verstappen does a non-DRS pass, now he's wrong still? lol.

Just say one is unhappy with anything and everything Verstappen does. Then we know we are not having a serious argument.

Max punished Leclerc for getting a bad start. That should not have resulted in a penalty in my opinion.
He also could (and should) have steered in more. But yes, that was why it was a light penalty, as Max had the better start, Charles pinched and they both went too deep, those were mitigating factors and that is why it was a small penalty which seems fair/correct to me.

Yes, the GP was very good, fully agree. Everyone kept close, also as VSC is guaranteed and the big tows and drs really help. They could push too on the harder tires. Next year 1 grade harder?

Why does it need 1 grade harder? We want more stops, not less.

I don't think so.. It was perfect! we should always be going as soft as is possible.

The reds were gone very soon, the yellows grained ver much, for some teams even the whites. I expect they will go a grade harder (but agree we should always go as soft as possible). I will keep an eye out for this though.

It's very strange to be honest especially considering his minister of defense title from previous seasons...

He had locked his front wheels up earlier in the race and the inside here was bumpy, so he was weary of that and that is why he didn’t defend there. This was his explanation at viaplay interview.

Fair enough I suppose. still you have to make the guy go the long way around no matter what.
