When the perfect driver meets the perfect machine.

So is Kimi going to drive Bottas car or Hamilton's? Would be a travesty to see Kimi crash out on either cars, but especially if it is Lewis. Ouch. Wish someone would broadcast it. Love to see that work-of-art out on track again.

Very interesting, wonder how James feels about it. The issue with this years car was suspension and peaky floor downforce after the summer break. Wonder if this move was made to put a bit of pressure on certain people. Let's hope it also doesn't create a too many chefs in the kitchen situation

- AutoRacer has learned that Mercedes will unveil the new livery on February 18 on a 'dummy' car and has no launch event planned for the 2025 car, which will be unveiled only once they arrive in Bahrain

In preparation for the tests, the now filming day (for all team) is planned, which will be held on February 25, that is, one day before the official start of the F1 season, given that the tests will take place between February 26 and 28.

That will be the first opportunity to admire the shapes of the W16 and it will be an important day for the team to ensure that every phase of production and assembly has gone smoothly, avoiding possible problems during the official tests that would limit the always important data collection.

Wouldn't James have worked with him at Ferrari at some point? So they could be reasonably familiar with each others work. It's definitely an interesting development for Mercedes.

When the original announcement was made last year it was mentioned that he and JA were buddies when JA was at Ferrari, and that it was JA who made it a point bring him over to Merc.

Thanks, hadn't realised how much they had worked together "recently". In my mind I was thinking back in the 2000s.

Those are some decent cars that they built together.
