Yeah, in both the strength of force and the locality of force, as well as reflecting the change of shape of the wing which would then change how much force was applied on a particular locaity vs if it were static.

Honestly can't see this will affect us at all.

I'm hearing again reports of possible rain though the percentage is lower. Can Mclaren have a normal weekend for once?

It's not like we can't win again as the car seems to be good in all situations but rain creates chaos and our drivers tend to not take the maximum out of it.

According to paddock speculation McLaren are supposedly one of the team the new test is aimed at…

You never know, the Mclaren wing might be able to pass the new static load test with flying colours like Lando suggests but the wing still moves the most out on track
Either McLaren have been exploiting a loophole, which the FIA is trying to close. Or McLaren's suspension and overall mechanical platform is what's made the car quick. We'll find out soon enough. If it's down to the suspension design, I think RB will be cursing that they lost Rob Marshall to McLaren.

What I find somewhat amusing is that come next season the wings will be movable, so it might be easier to hide a little bit of flexing.

That's the luck of the draw in the rain. Who knows Oscar getting back into the points after his trip through the grass might prove crucial later in the season.

…or the clampdown (testmethod) doesn‘t in anyway impact the way MCL Applied the loophole. Itteration nr.3 is a genius solution!

I know that what George is saying looks funny now but God damn I hope he's right :D :D

It's more front limited so if everyone's theories are correct, we are going to kick ass at this track.

But it is quite exciting because it has some nice configurations that will help expose some of the strengths and weaker facets of the car. Can't wait.
Yeah the 39 is a very different to the 38(A) McLaren with regards the front grip. The Shanghai circuit with it's long corners really punishes front tyres so I'm reasonably confident that the car will be more dominant than at Australia.

McLaren are defiant about their "innocence" in the rear wing speculation, claiming they will run last week's wing. It seems the FIA have gone out on a limb on this and along with the way they are implementing the changes, they may end up with egg on their faces. Nothing to see here, why are you listening to Horner (who is likely the source of the complaints). A few months ago it was McLaren alleged to be injecting water into the tyres. No wonder Red Bull are the most disliked team in F1 by a large margin.

Pole by half a second?
With Haas, Alpine and other mid field teams impacted by the wing change instead of the top teams, wonder what the FIA will come up with next

They would say more paint and less carbon fiber maybe  , hope nothing stops the Mclaren if they have worked hard to make their car fast instead of complaining about others. As Carlos Sainz said he saw how McLaren as a team was rising and he saw it coming, and he sees Williams being similar makes me look forward to his prediction in coming years =D>

Off topic, does anyone have a fix or workaround for the persistent 503 error? Haven't been able to check pages in days. It's been on and off, so not sure it's fixed now.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

If Sainz said he knew that Mclaren dominating was coming, why did he leave? I'll say bullshit that he knew. He just wants to act like he has the strings in his hands and that's why he is driving Williams.
