I guess stef23 talks about the commercial brand name („Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team“), which they are using in F1 and not the official company name (AMR GP Limited). Ferrari changed their brand name midseason, when HP joined, but the official legal company namen is still Ferrari S.p.A.
I said that cause he said "since not being directly associated or owned by the Aston Martin brand." Meaning, they are entangled.

It is quite easy. Aston Martin Lagonda (car company) pays money that AMR GP Limited (f1 Team company) drives with the Aston Martin Brand. The sponsorship was extended for 5 years in 2023 btw. They are independent from each other. Like Alfa Romeo did at Sauber.

Aramco pays money too, that they are in the team Name. Aramco furthermore secured an Option for 10% of the f1 company shares when they started the sponsorship.

Honda also has an agreement with the team from 2026 onwoards, as we all know, and will highly likely also be in the teams Name as Part of the Deal.

Yeah, you got my point. Sorry if I wasn't clear, but i meant to know if they could change the name of the team, not including "Aston Martin" anymore

Right. My Answer was yes but why would they want to?

There are too many things to fit perfectly all at once. And it would seem as if every time they want to shortcut the time to become a big team it paradoxically drags on another year and ends up with Lawrence getting angry.

It needs more time to gel and also Lawrence to stop putting so much pressure on the team. I do think eventually there will be great success but more towards 2028 perhaps
You think Fallows should have been given more time?
He should have been at least given until the new wind tunnel was operational. They've already spoken about seeing a difference in the data between their new tunnel and the Mercedes one on the recent update parts.

Yeah, I don't know what happened there. We had that big blow up in Imola last year by Lawrence with Fallows. That started Lawrence's shopping for Cardile and Newey. I mean Newey became available. That was just out bidding/negotiating everyone else...but he really went out and got Cardile. He wasn't looking to leave Ferrari.

Obviously, you can't afford to keep all three. Some suggested that Cardile was Newey's man. If that is true, then it all comes down to Lawrence believing in Newey/Cardile team over Fallows/(can't remember his name) team.

I kind of was surprised by the Fallows move but I can't help but think that Newey/Cardile is truely an upgrade. So Fallows was just a Newey victim? The Fallows teams became expendable after they signed Newey and Cardile.
