In all fairness I don't think Eddie ever considered a female driver.Pup wrote:Odd, this discussion.
Irrelevant, too, since Jordan has no restrictions on women drivers.
Nothing authoritative. But the only reason for doing so I can think of is that Max wants to bully the voting. Sounds a bit desperate, and I wonder if Max is failing to appreciate the irony that this election is playing out much like the one which originally put him in office.WhiteBlue wrote:So nobody can supply any details about this funny envelope business?
But who gurantees that it isn't a story planted by interesting parties of which some exist?Pup wrote:Nothing authoritative. And you would be a worldly wise, well read and informed/connected person who knows the innermost goings on in an organisation that many people consider rotten to the core under Mosely - crikeys you are well informed to be able to make that decision on your own. If you believe the scuttlebutt Ari Vatanen is ahead in the 'polls' as they say - we shall see - would be great to see some unbiased balance between the FIA and the F1 teams - I believe they also support Vatanen.autogyro wrote:A humble genius to run the FIA! The FIA has to deal with vested and sometimes corrupt sources of power of world dimensions almost every day.
Any one humble or inexperienced and weak like Vatanen would be eaten alive in no time.
It is convenient and easy for those who disagree with FIA decisions to focus their bile at the FIA president, even though they rarely have even a tiny fraction of the facts involved in any issue.
It is essential for any FIA President to have a very powerful character and a very thick skin. They are not going to be universally liked.
Vatanen is a pygmy compared to Max Mosley or John Todt.

That's right! We need someone who really knows how to crack the whip.autogyro wrote:A humble genius to run the FIA! Perleease!

In some places they still behead people in public squares.
I have no objection at all to a fair election that discuses FIA issues in detail and suggests sensible changes.
Unfortunately Vtanen has come up with absolutely nothing but platitudes, his campaign has NO structure.
The FIA is a very important world organization that is responsible to all vehicle users, it is not a brrm brrm boy racers benefit for FI or the WRC.
Left foot braking from the distant past will not help reduce the numbers of young people dieing in road accidents in the world.
So where are all the marvelous new policies from Vatanen that will improve the work being done in such essential areas of the FIA's remit?
Well, no, but anyway, so is Todt. Which (again) makes this entire discussion irrelevant.autogyro wrote:Vatanen is trying to raise votes in a world area that has probably the worst record of lack of democracy in human history.
What does that mean?autogyro wrote:It may look like a golf and sound like a golf but it is really a dust cart.
