In the 2nd half. Still leaves us 2 updates.
It's crazy to think Aston went from having a car with some of the best traction characteristics in early 2023 to one of the worst in 2024 and the worst (in my opinion) in 2025.-wkst- wrote: ↑06 May 2025, 09:13Michael Schmidt in his video blog:
He doesn't think that AMR concentrates 100% on 2026 because that would demoralize the whole team, the belief in yourself. One told him that whatever they try with the car, it stays bad or gets even worse. They have no plan to set up the car, no plan which upgrades could help the car. At the beginning the car wasn't that bad in fast corners, but even that changed, most likely because they tried so many different things (setup-wise). They have gone in the completely wrong direction and that's pathetic, looking at the facilities and the engineer team they have.
The worse point of the car is traction
The team's myopic obsession with drag reduction needs to be studied. They had a car that was a parachute on the straights, but was a downforce monster with good balance and excellent tire life, and they threw all those strengths out in pursuit of straight-line speed. How many engineers did Stroll poach from Williams?Alo_Fan wrote: ↑06 May 2025, 19:38It's crazy to think Aston went from having a car with some of the best traction characteristics in early 2023 to one of the worst in 2024 and the worst (in my opinion) in 2025.-wkst- wrote: ↑06 May 2025, 09:13Michael Schmidt in his video blog:

Why AM will need Horner? for what reason i mean?selvam_e2002 wrote: ↑07 May 2025, 06:25Is there any possibility for Horner Joining AM as TP or Alonso moving to Alpine again and reunion with Briatore?
I thought as AN here, may be the entire management group move to AM including Max in coming days. this is my personal thought.bluechris wrote: ↑07 May 2025, 07:31Why AM will need Horner? for what reason i mean?selvam_e2002 wrote: ↑07 May 2025, 06:25Is there any possibility for Horner Joining AM as TP or Alonso moving to Alpine again and reunion with Briatore?
The whole Aston Martin project is to make Lance Stroll their number 1 driver and give him the best possible car to fight for wins.selvam_e2002 wrote: ↑07 May 2025, 07:55I thought as AN here, may be the entire management group move to AM including Max in coming days. this is my personal thought.bluechris wrote: ↑07 May 2025, 07:31Why AM will need Horner? for what reason i mean?selvam_e2002 wrote: ↑07 May 2025, 06:25Is there any possibility for Horner Joining AM as TP or Alonso moving to Alpine again and reunion with Briatore?
Also I think Alonso moving to Alpine again under Briatore.
It is purely my thought.
There is no drag reduction obsession. They had 1 project to reduce drag of the air flow under the covers. That's it. The "downforce monster" of 2023 would just be a distant last in 2025. AM F1 have had problems increasing the stable and predictable downforce on the floor. They have been able to increase peak df in the past but only at the expense of it dropping off in certain points of different types of corners.SealTheRealDeal wrote: ↑07 May 2025, 05:23The team's myopic obsession with drag reduction needs to be studied. I think it might have been that at one point. It isn't that any more. I still think Stroll could be a solid #2, a Robin to a Batman.Nikosar wrote: ↑07 May 2025, 10:19The whole Aston Martin project is to make Lance Stroll their number 1 driver and give him the best possible car to fight for wins.selvam_e2002 wrote: ↑07 May 2025, 07:55I thought as AN here, may be the entire management group move to AM including Max in coming days. this is my personal thought.

Same with the pink Mercedes : Ocon out, Lance in at the center of the project.
The speculation about Max is purely Saudi Arabia based, as in facts his arrival as the number 1 driver means a change in the ownership and the end of the Lance project. If they want to continue the project, the departure of Alonso will follow a replacement by a good “ second “ driver.
