It looks like mercedes has decided to remove the fairing from the rear suspension.

@Reel_SonoDas
The rear suspension looks revised? I'm looking at the angle of the wishbone and looks different to me.

The fitment of the shroud around the pushrod is very poor where it meets the chassis.It looks like a new part. It seems to have a thicker trailing edge than the old one.

First and second wing elements on the front wing are closer together, minimizing flexibility. This is being inline with the TD rules in Barcelona.

Am I seeing things or has the suspension geometry been changed? The angle of photo is a little different but not that much.

NO! I seen this immediately, that wishbone is bolted further down into the chassis. People we're pointing out removal of the fairing, but it wasn't just that, the 2 wishbones was repositioned. Crazy how many people missed that #-o

Looking at the original pic, a number of fasteners don't appear to have been fitted for whatever reason in both that area, and the top cover over the damper. At least that's how it appears.

I think the body work is thinner, so it just looks that way.

No it’s not, the rod is in a different location on the chassis. I did a side-by-side and it confirms it.

If it had moved, it would be on the FIA doc. I think the bodywork just makes it look that way because it's closer to the chassis.

It strangely isn’t in the FIA document but I can very much assure you that the wishbone is in repositioned lower down on the chassis, The Race did a side-by-side comparison with the engine cover and the suspension changes toward the rear has gone completely unnoticed. I saw the angle of the rods look new when Albert Fabrega did the rear wing comparison.

What’s weird about the FIA Document is that Racing Bulls side pod changes wasn’t listed neither was the changes to the Redbull via the sidepod inlet.

That doesn’t square with me. The primary purpose for the change I’m almost certain is for airflow control with any flexibility changes being incidental.
