Williams trolling Merc with the perfect strategy was absolutely golden.

That and the Racing Bulks strategy was about all this GP had going for it
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Indeed a joke. The worse race on the calendar.
Not really. I find Tilkedromes with endless DRS zones much worse. Monaco atleast demands full concentration from a driver.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Horrible race. I understand why they tried to improve it as it's normally a snooze fest. As horrible as it was, at least more happened compared to last year or the year before. I think, at least they understood that it needed changing and tried. It did't work 100% as it was the first atempt. I don't think expecting on-track overtaking to suppenly appear given the current cars is ever going to happen hence why Williams manipulated this so well. I think for me it would have been interesting to see 2 pitstops as seen but they have to use all 3 compounds. I think also to stop the kind of thing that Max did I think pitstops would have to be done within a certain lap window e.g. you have to do at least one pitstop within lap 20, then lap 40 etc.

Gasly's brake failure is one of the most dangerous things I have ever seen. About the same as the Toro Rosso losing its front wheels in China

Horrible race, the most interesting part was the team's shenanigans. Does it make the special tire regulations somewhat a tepid success?

I love Monaco, it's a classic, the city breathes F1. But they need to give the track an overtake option, this does not work.

They won't do anything before next season. They'll just hope that smaller cars + hyper ERS = overtaking.

Won't make a difference because the cars will be the same size as indycars

It was not a brake failure, it was his error. The brakes failed after he hit Tsunoda.

Are you sure? There's no point complaining about brakes not working when your entire left front corner has been rearranged...

I do agree, Saturday is great. F1 needs a variety of venues and Monaco brings something extreme. However I’d rather see a situation where the race involves more flat out driving, a high speed procession is much better than a slow one.

I don’t know what can be done about the race. Max seems to think he could keep the field behind him in an F2 car…

Yes, he was interviewed mid-race and said he just misjudged the approach speed.

The 2 cars of one team behind eachother backing up pitting pitting switching pitting pitting was Perhaps mildly amusing, but still. The cars behind could just as well all have parked both cars up.

I would say that shorter, lighter, narrower and nimbler cars would help alot.
