It's 2023 all over again. After 8 rounds.

I guess that's what having 2 good drivers and building a car that 2 drivers can drive confidently looks like!
Or put simply, build a car that is faster than the competition.

I don't understand the thinking behind the "no pitting" strategy :
Let's say a red flag did come after everyone around them had pitted - even then the P11 and P12 will stay P11 and P12 on a track where it's impossible to overtake without a -5s speed delta (but it's possible to defend with a +7s speed delta).
The moment they saw that Albon was backing them up, why did they not pit and come into clean air ? They effectively gifted 'free pitstops' to Williams.

Yes, it was a stupidly boring race, but atleast 'try'. I have to say - it was 'completely idiotic' whatever they had come up with in the pitwall. So much jingoism about 'thinking on one's feet'.

There was nothing they could do. The Williams strategy was invincible. If Merc pits for clean air, Albon will still be on track backing up the train for Sainz's free stop. Then once Sainz gets his stop, they swap the cars on the track and Sainz backs them up to make the gap for Albon to pit. There was no passing the Williams today on any strategy.
It doesn't turn.

The track is ass cheeks. Spain is next, let’s forget about this trash circuit and move on. But I understand your frustration.

Yeah. It was over as soon as Kimi and George got eliminated in Q2.

Next year, I’m not even bothering to watch Sunday in Monaco. Saturday is the only day with any real action on this dreadful "racing track." I can’t believe I wasted two hours today on this pile of—you know what.

As someone aptly put it, it’s not a race; it’s an event catered to celebrities and billionaires. Absolutely dreadful.

100% agree. No matter what changes or enforcements done to Monaco, nothing would change. Even drivers dont enjoy the race on Sunday. Even with smaller cars, overtaking would be very difficult. I think Monaco needs to be pushed out off the calendar

I second this, every year I watch it with the hope it'll be a proper race, and every year I'm dissapointed.

Isn't there a petition somewere I can sign to push it off the calendar?

In 2016 race, Lewis was stuck behind Nico on a wet track, unable to overtake.

What is the prospect for Spain? Frankly, I am a bit pessimistic, but I want to see how the new upgraded W16 looks. Will they change the side pods?

I doesn't matter what they change. There's no big-step expected anyways. Even if they bring, the confidence of it working as expected is very low. They simply have no understanding of their cars in this era of regulations.
