I am watching Max onboard doing a race simulation. The car is very calm, balance is neutral. Looks ok for friday which is usually our bad day. :)

This was the race pace at last year's race. Still baffles me the miracles Max did last year to win that title. https://i.imgur.com/HG5IBog.png

On average the McLaren's were at least 4 to 5 tenths quicker. See the pace delta especially at the end of stints my god. Once Russell pits at the end of lap 16, Norris just goes 8 tenths faster than Max :D :D.

Hope we have a better car to fight with this year.
as long as the scenario is not this dire, it'll be okay

And Verstappen is flying on the soft tyre. I think this weekend is looking positive for us. Not sure about the flying lap, but race pace looking amazing

Yeah he had traffic but could pass Lec.

There might be errors, but also tracked sector times. 2nd stint was all behind traffic. First he was trying to pass Leclerc, then trying to pass Rus (Russ pitted out of way), then Antonelli was in front until the end.

Swap colors for Lando. Timing screen had bad graphics. His first stint was on his used softs and his second stint was on mediums.

For sure it's been a very positive Friday considered the Red Bull standard. Not sure it will be enough to beat McLaren though, let's see how it goes.

Well, it's the friday Red Bull

I don't think 2nd stint was bad. He was just behind other cars the whole time.

From lap 2 to lap 5 was trying to pass LEC. Passed him on lap 5:

Then Russell was in the way on lap 6 (did not pass, he pitted)

Then Antonelli just came out of the pits on lap 6 and was in front until the end

I think if we can pole and Norris can get stuck behind George, we can win like last year.

Pole position always feels scary here, P3 feels nice with the long run down the straight. That being said it'll still take our chances with a pole. So far, we're not looking favourtes but if we can do the usual improvement from friday to saturday then it be will close. RUS and LEC also could be a problem tomorrow.

Better say, if Max can lead after T1. With this car and the run to Barcelona T1, will be very tough to keep a theoretical pole.
