Max took a decision to move away from this team today. He doesnt need these points anymore, quite the opposite.
Toto needs to strike right now.

Dont know of this has been said already, but max is gonna be just 2 points from a ban

He’s gonna have to drive like a pussy cat for the next 2 races
Considering the WDC is over I don't think he'll give a ---.

What should have been well-executed damage limitation turned into an utter farce. Can't believe what I've just seen.

I believe an offer has been on Max table for a while. Toto barely needs to do anything extra now. It's just a matter of formalities and exit clauses on Max' side.

Why the hard? Where there no other tires left? Max was from that moment on, absolutely not amused in the car, the whole race he was struggling.

Interesting that everyone in this thread is focusing on whether he had to give the position back or not (I'm not arguing that either way) but seem to be totally ok with that childish tantrum and completely unsportsmanlike behaviour crashing into George.

Is that really the type of driving conduct you want to support and see in F1?

Correct, no other tires left. He used the medium and three sets of soft.

there is reason why literally no other car ran hard today. there was no grip.
far better decision would be to stay on those soft tires at the lead, who get far better chance to keep the podium imo and be safe at the restart.

You're right, staying out might have been the best move, Leclerc did not have any pace at all, would have been P3 at worst.
honestly I could not believe what I saw when I saw him on hard because based on Pirelli info on tire allocation before the race Max had three used softs, not just two. Where has that 3rd set gone I wonder? Who did get it wrong - Pirelli or the team?
He was already on the third set of soft tires when the SC came out. S-S-M-S-H

Ok, for a moment I thought it was poor strategy.

Isn't that obvious? That's exactly what his fans enjoy, and he's delivered that since 2015.

Same as Vettel in 2017 and sometimes Michael it was pretty bad. Its just frustation and anger, not good for f1 of course. But all drivers do mistakes, they are just human with emotion. Now i am just accepting its over, but I like drivers going sometimes over the limit. Hope he learns from it this time.

You're imagining things, take a chill pill. I expect most people do not support road rage, but what are you expecting people to say really? To be your echo chamber? Also you dont get to say who people support and who they dont.

Eh, I think they generally acknowledge Max was in the wrong for that incident but the call to go on the hards and then told to give the place to George when it appeared George rammed Max off the track at T1 that kinda forced Max into the escape road why was RB asking him to give it back. I tend to see most here saying he lost it.

they did absolutely wrong asking Max to let George
No he retained his position by going off track.

He was lucky not to get ten for not giving back the position and another 10 for causing a collision and 4 penalty points.
For Sure!!
